The credit card reader cleaning card is a staple when it comes to cleaning all types of card readers from POS terminals to dip and insert readers and are ubiquitous. Most people however, only use one side of the cleaning card and never turn it over to use the remaining side. When we first invented cleaning cards in 1983, they were all one sided and eventually, we added the second side. So please, take advantage of the other, fresher, cleaner side.

Here’s a tip. We are asked by many people if they can use our cleaning cards in more than one reader and the answer is YES, just make sure the readers are somewhat close to each other so the cleaning solution, usually alcohol, will not evaporate. If the terminals are close, clean one and then walk over to the other terminal and use the second side mentioned above. If the terminals are somewhat far apart, clean the first terminal and insert the card back in the pouch which will keep the alcohol from evaporating, then walk over to the other terminal and use the card there. Simply throw the card away in your recycle bin. It’s that easy.

TIP: Clean Two Terminals with One Card!
