1. Your Choices for Collection and Use of your Information
It is your right not to provide any information but you may not be able to engage in certain activities on the website such as purchase products, services, or make donations.
One of the requirements when you purchase products or services is our ability to send you administrative and promotional emails. We will use your information to send you information about your account, account activity, purchases, credits and updates about our products, promotional offers and possible changes to our Terms and Conditions. It is impossible to opt-out of these administrative emails. Administrative emails are defined as a user’s activity on our website and will include emails regarding user’s account(s), history, credit and/or debits, invoices if any, purchases of products and services and requests or inquiries. You do have a choice however, with respect to our administrative emails, containing promotional advertisements for our products and services, sales and other offers, and/or the products and services offered for sale by our advertisers and/or affiliates. Should you decide to not receive any promotional emails, you may opt out at any time after registering, by writing to us via US mail or by emailing us, or by clicking on the “unsubscribe” button at the bottom of our emails. If you do contact us, please include your name, address, telephone number and email address and which promotional emails you do not wish to receive.
2. The Release of Personally Identifiable Information
We will not rent, sell, share, or trade your Personally Identifiable Information (PI) with other parties except as noted below.
We may share your information with Clean Tech Products vendors, distributors or other entities on occasion, we may provide you offers from certain distributors or merchants (“Clean Tech Products Distributors”) who, as part of an offer, may request certain information about Clean Tech Products customers who purchased the offer in order to aid in redemption or finalizing the sale (delivery of products or services). In certain cases, we may share some of your identifiable information with these distributors/merchants. When we share this information, it may allow distributors/merchant to advertise and market directly to you if they choose to do so. We will however only share this Personally Identifiable Information with a distributor/merchant if you engage in a particular identification activity when and only if the distributor/merchant is directly involved in that particular identification activity, such as: you bought a product or service and identified or selected that distributor as your choice for distribution. The merchant may need to know the sales number, invoice number or voucher number in order to redeem the order or purchase and that order is associated with your name. We specifically disclaim any and all responsibility and/or liability for any of the actions taken or made on behalf any and all such distributors/merchants. We do inform them that they are only permitted to contact and/or communicate with you for the sole and specific purposes related to that specific order or promotion with Clean Tech Products, however, we cannot control the actions of others and therefore, do not have any responsibility or liability for the actions of these distributors/merchants, which are naturally, beyond our control.
We may engage and share your information with authorized third party service providers. Very often, we offer and provide services and products through third party companies and organizations. These third party service providers perform functions for us such as distributing promotional, marketing and administrative mail and emails. Therefore, we might share your Personally Identifiable Information with these third parties in order to deliver packages, host our website, provide website backup, provide customer service, send mail or email, fulfill orders, remove duplicate information on lists, analyze information, administer contests, provide marketing, troubleshoot, search results and links and process credit/debit card or other means of payments. We have business relationships with individuals, companies and other service providers with whom we may collect or share your information in order to accomplish our administrative tasks. For example, when you want to purchase a service or product, we release your payment information such as a credit /debit to the card issuing bank to confirm payment for the voucher and when and if applicable, we will need to inform the delivery company where exactly to deliver the product, service or voucher. Additionally, we may need to inform our bank where to send payment. We do inform our merchants and third party providers to post their own privacy policies. The use of your Personally Identifiable Information by others is governed by their privacy policies and is completely beyond our control.
We maintain and reserve the right to modify this privacy statement from time to time and at any time, so please review them frequently. Should we make any material changes to this policy, we will post it here, notify you by your email of record, or by a notice on our home page.
5. Types of Information Collected and Use of Collected Information
We collect two (2) types of information about our website users—personal and non-personal identifiable information
Non-Personally Identifiable Information
We also use Non Personal Identifiable Information to analyze trends, gather demographics, troubleshoot, administer the website, comply and cooperate with applicable law and law enforcement activities. We may also share this information with authorized third party service providers and advertisers to measure the overall effectiveness of our online marketing, advertising, content, programming and other efforts.
Personal Identifiable Information
Personal Identifiable Information is information that identifies a specific user such as when you create an account, order a service or product (such as a voucher) from us or one of our partners, submitting and/or posting content, data or images in a discussion forum, entering a contest or game of chance sponsored by us or our trading partners, posting a review, comment or video, filling out a survey, submitting an affiliate agreement, sending feedback, requesting information about our services, applying for employment, signing up for special offers from third parties through the site or other activities that identify you. We may ask you to provide certain information about yourself that could identify you. It is your option if you wish to engage in anything that will identify you. If you decide to engage in this activity, we may ask you to provide us with specific personal information about yourself that will identify you such as your first/last name, billing or mailing address with a zip code, telephone number, date of birth and email address. When you purchase products or services, we may then ask for your credit card type and number, expiration date, authentication codes or related information. Depending on the specific type of activity, we may ask you to provide information that is mandatory and some that is voluntary. Should you decide not to provide the mandatory information for a particular voucher or activity that necessitates it, you will not be permitted to purchase that voucher or engage in that activity.
Tell a Friend/Buy for a Friend
If you decide to use our Tell a Friend, Buy for a Friend or Drop Ship feature, we will have to ask you for your friend's name, email address, shipping address, etc. We will automatically send your friend this one time notification email inviting them to visit the site or inform them about the gift you purchased for them. Clean Tech Products stores this information for the sole purpose of tracking the one-time email, tracking their gift and tracking the success of our referral program. Should you wish to remove this information from our database, simply contact us and we will delete it. However, you may want us to keep this information to verify that your friend received their gift. Contact us by by emailing us for further help or information.
6 The Release of Non Personal Identifiable Information
We may release and / or disclose, or share Non Personal Identifiable information with others entities such as Partners, Affiliates, Marketing Companies, Financial Institutions, Hosting and Backup Companies and Advertisers, etc. For example, we may also share aggregated demographic information (not any Personal Identifiable information) with a hosting company to allow for certain traffic patterns, Third Party advertisers or Third Party advertising companies to help with targeted advertising and other parties as provided below.
We may use Third Party service providers to track, analyze and perform services related to our Non Personal Identifiable usage, volume statistical information and metrics from our users to help in the administering of our website and to consistently and constantly improve its quality, performance and ratings. We may wish to advertise and publish some information for advertising, marketing and promotional purposes or possibly as a general, representative audience for advertisers. Again, this is not Personal Identifiable information but only a general summary of some of the activities of our users and this data is collected either by us or on our behalf and is only owned, used and managed by us.
We may use Third Party advertising companies to serve up ads when you visit Clean Tech Products. These advertising companies could use Non Personal Identifiable Information regarding your visit(s) to Clean Tech Products and other sites in order to facilitate by the use of network tags or beacons, certain relevant ads about other goods and services that quite possibly could be of interest to you. These Third Party advertising companies might possible be in an advertising association which are members of the Network Advertising Initiative (“NAI”). 7. Your Information Security
Personal Identifiable Information should be protected and as such, it is given a high priority and we take numerous steps to protect it. You can gain access to your Personal Identifiable Information through our website by using your password, which is encrypted, and your email address. We strongly urge and recommend that you do not share your password(s) with anyone and that you store your password(s) in a safe environment.
All sensitive information such as credit/debit card information is encrypted using Secure Socket Layer technology (SSL). We also use various secure servers to store and back up Personal Identifiable Information that only selected personnel and contractors can gain access to. You are aware there isn’t any data or information transmission over the internet, web or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be absolutely 100% safe and secure. Therefore, we take all reasonable security measures to protect yours as well as our data, and although we partner with companies which we believe act in the same accord and belief, we cannot absolutely guarantee the safety and security of any information transmitted to, over, or on, the internet and / or website and accordingly, we are not responsible for the actions of any third party(ies) that may receive any such information. We are not responsible for the actions of others.
7a. Miscellaneous Privacy Issues
Minors and children less than 18 years of age may not use this website. Our website is not designed to attract or to be of interest to anyone under the age of 18 and we will not knowingly collect any personal information as such. Clean Tech Products does not and will not knowingly sell products for purchase by children, although we do on occasion, offer some children's products for purchase by adults, such as t-shirts, hats and promotional swag.
We may provide areas on our website where you may publicly post information, text and images about yourself and be able to communicate with others on electronic bulletin boards or blogs where you can read and post review of products, services and submit content. This information is generally accessibly to other users and companies and may appear in web searches on other websites enabling this information to be read, collected and used by others. As an example, if you were to write a review of a product and post your email address, you may be subjected to unsolicited email. We do not have any control over who sees and reads your postings and how they reply/respond and what they may do with the information you posted. Caution is advised when posting any personal information. We do not seek nor obtain consent from any of our users to post their name with their reviews.
Notice of Privacy Rights California law requires that you are provided with your privacy rights under the California Online Privacy Protection Act (OPPA) and the California Business and Professions Code. As required by the Act, We will provide you with the categories of Personally Identifiable Information that we collect through our site. We are also required at your request, to provide you with the categories of third party persons/entities with whom such information may be shared for direct marketing purposes. We are further required to inform you, at your request, of the categories of Personally Identifiable Information we collect and to whom we share the information and their names and addresses of those third parties and to provide an example of the types of products marketed. You are also allowed to control who you do not want us to share that information with as per OPPA requirements. Please include your name, address, telephone number, email address and the Personally Identifiable Information that you do not wish us to share with our affiliates or marketing associates. Your notice should be sent to the attention of our legal department and sub labeled “California Customer Notice.” Kindly allow 30 days for a response, but we will always try to act faster. 8. Tracking Data
Other Tracking Technologies and Devices
There are numerous other industry standard tracking technologies like pixel tags and web beacons that we may use to track your use of our website, ads and/or promotions, and we may also allow our third party service providers to use these electronic devices in our stead. Our website may also uses web beacons and pixel tags which are small graphic images placed on certain pages or in our emails, which allow us to determine whether you have performed a certain action(s). Should you access these pages, open or tap on an email, certain web beacons and pixel tags will cause a Non-Personally Identifiable notice of that action to be generated. These pixel tags will allow us to improve and measure our performance, visitor traffic, behavior, usage, understanding and links on our site, as well as give us various indicators of our performance and promotions. We may also utilize our affiliates and/or marketing associates web beacons and pixel tags for the same levels of enhancements and understanding.
9. Updating and Correcting Your Information
It is our policy that you should have the ability to access, change, edit and in some instances delete the Personally Identifiable Information you provided to us. You have the ability to change some of your Personal Identifiable Information by signing into your account and accessing your account under the "my account" section of the website or you may send us an email or postal mail to 1126 S. Please indicate your name, address, telephone number, best time to contact you, email address, and what information you would like us to update in your email or letter. We will do our best to accommodate your wishes.
When and if you choose to store your credit card information on our site, it is encrypted and stored on a secure page and you may delete this particular information whenever you wish, by visiting the "my account" section. Initially, we will be using PayPal for all transactions, so all of your credit card data will be resident with them, not with Clean Tech. You will be notified when and if this changes.
We also encourage you to keep your Personal Identifiable Information current when and if it changes. Some information on your account cannot be deleted or removed if it involves transactions because we must keep track of all past transactions by law. Due to regular and routine backing up of our data and services, it might be impossible for us to completely delete all of your information.
